Eterna PLC Appoint Benjamin Nwaezeigwe as MD/CEO

The previously Acting Managing Director/CEO, takes the role on a permanent basis

Nigerian energy provider, Eterna Plc, has this week announced the appointment of Benjamin Nwaezeigwe as the company’s new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.

Effective 1st August 2022, Nwaezeigwe assumed the role he had been performing as Acting MD/CEO since 17th April 2022, on a permanent basis.

The former Deputy General Manager at Rainoil Limited, the downstream oil and gas company that he left in September 2020 to establish his own downstream company, BHR International Ventures, graduated from Ambrose Ali University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry. He also holds an MBA in Production and Operations Management from Lagos State University.

Nwaezeigwe succeeded Nnamdi Obiagwu in April this year, following Obiagwu’s resignation.

Eterna Plc recently posted half-year results to 30th June 2022 for the group, which saw revenues rise 50 per cent to NGN 57.2 billion, against the same period last year—recording a gross profit of NGN 4.1 billion.
